Its so hard to believe that it is already the end of January 2010. We celebrated Christmas with the extended family today which I guess officially brings the Christmas festivities to a close for this year. I got all of the Christmas decorations put away a couple of weeks ago and am looking forward to a very busing Spring.
We have so much to look forward to over the next 9 weeks before the baby arrives. As amazing as it is Rose will actually be turning 2 in less than 3 weeks. So, I need to start thinking about her party. I was also able to get time off work to make a trip to Chicago for some much needed girl time with my sisters in 2 weeks, which is very exciting! We used to go at least once a year and I havent had a chance to go since before Rose was born. At some point Id love to take Sunshine because there are so many cool things for kids to do in Chicago. Maybe, this summer… we’ll see.
I decided not to take classes this quarter since the baby is due right around the time of finals. I do feel a little guilty for not just pushing through and getting another quarter done, but its been so nice to have the extra free time in the evenings and on weekends.
And of course since it looks like we will be having our new arrival right around Easter, the Easter Bunny needs to get busy and make sure everything in ready in advance in case of any suprises. Pretty much everything is ready for his arrival at this point. His room is mostly ready. I just need to finish the curtains. He has a closet full of adorable baby boy clothes. I have a package of newborn diapers, and I am still trying to decide if I want to try to cloth diaper.
I am looking forward to Spring and getting our garden planned as well. Lots of Ideas! In a way it seems so far away ( especially since it was all of 10 degrees this morning) but given how busy we are going to be over the next 2 months I know it will fly by!
