I’m so glad you stopped by. I hope you can pull up a cozy chair, grab a cup of coffee, and we can get to know each other.
My name is April, I am first and foremost a follower of Christ. I am so blessed to be married to my best friend, “The Handy Man” since 2000. I am “Mama” to three beautiful girls “Sunshine” 13, “Rose” 8, “Princess” 2, and our “Little Man” is 6. Our family is living and growing on 8 acres in rural Ohio. We enjoy spending time together especially outdoors. We have a mini-farm next to the farm I was raised on. We are currently raising dairy goats, meat goats a few pigs and laying hens but that seems to change almost daily.
The Handy Man enjoys gardening and I enjoy cooking and preserving but we work as a team to get it all done. Feeding my family healthy, nutritious food is important to me; most of our food is produced locally. We believe in following Jesus, walking lightly on the earth, conserving energy, rejecting mindless consumerism, and teaching our children how to be compassionate, productive, peace loving citizens.
We began Home Educating our children in 2012 and have found it to be such an enormous blessing. We are eclectic in our approach to educating.
When I find a spare moment, I enjoy reading, writing, sewing and crafting. I have a habit of reorganizing my furniture too often, buying too many linens, reading too many books at one time and writing run on sentences. The Handy Man works too hard, keeping things running around here and has a love of vintage Minneapolis Moline Tractors.
